My primary kids love to color. I have a bag of crayons and colored pencils for them and every week they all say I don't want crayons I just want pencils. They all do a wonderful job of sharing all the colors and asking nicely but....
They have favorite colors that they start to argue over if I don't watch them carefully. I have these pretty sweet pencils that have a different color on each end and there are only like four of them. Each child wants to keep them all and not share. I wouldn't want to share a crazy awsome two sided colored pencil either. I'm tempted to take them out of my bag and keep them all to myself but that would break my primary kids' hearts. They love these pencils so much they have given them nicknames such as the baby bow wow pencil, the pretty princess pencil and the super hero pencil. The one they love the most is The Golden Pencil though. It gets passed down the row of coloring kids over and over each Sunday. What girl wouldn't want to bedazzle a CTR shield and what boy wouldn't want the Prophet Joseph Smith decked out in gold colored pencil?

We have that problem too...yes that actually happens with the older CTR's too. I think the fix is ratty, broken crayons like in sharing time...I've never heard them fight over those ones.

ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. I love kids, teaching primary is so much fun. I miss it.
