I was talking to my Granny on the phone last week and she got after for not blogging because that is how she keeps up with all of her family. Just to fill everyone in on the magnificent world of Megan I am doing my first semester of college at CSM. I like it, but it takes up a lot of my free time. I am taking english, math, communications, and american government. So far I enjoy all my classes and I am even making new friends! It feel great to be in school and learning things again.
There are a lot of kids who sign up for classes but they do not show up and a lot of students really slack off. Why would you do that in college? I don't understand. I know it is a community college and all but still. I would never miss a class unless I absolutley could not make it. That tuition money came out of my pocket and I'm not wasting it.
Last week in english we were doing some peer rivision stuff and I miss placed both of my english text books. I packed up and walked to my next class thinking that my bag felt a little empty. When I got to my next class I looked in my bag and my expensive enlgish books were gone! I ran back across campus to see if my books were in my classroom still. No luck, they were gone. I thought that my friend might have accidently grabbed them and texted her and she said she had them. The next day she brought me my books but they were hers. She let me keep them so I could do the homework and then we would just exchange books in our next english class. Come Monday I was very excited to get my own books back. Well she did not have them she thought she did but was mistaken. So I asked the whole class if any of them had an extra set of books. No one did. I knew I was going to have to spend over a hundred bucks to get new ones. I bought new ones and I was not very happy about it. The very next class my books, the ones I lost were found!!!! A girl who was gone on Monday had them all along. I wanted to hug her and tell her how awesome she was. I almost hugged my books but I didn't want the other students to think I was some brown noser trying to impress the professor. I am more than happy to say I returned the replacement books I bought and I got my $141.65 back!
That is just one adeventure I have had at CSM. Wait till I tell you about the boy I sit next to in government who smells like feet.
